Ham, Cheese and Paprika Savoury Muffins
This is a quick and uncomplicated ham, cheese and paprika savoury muffins recipe… perfect for lunch boxes, family picnics or as a snack on their own! This recipe is so simple that if the kids want, they can join in and help make it. These muffins freeze well, so great for making a big batch and taking out on demand.

- 2 cups Flour
- 4 tsp Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Baking Soda
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ground Paprika
- 1 tbsp Parsley Chopped
- 80 g Butter
- 1 Egg Beaten
- 250 ml Milk
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 50 g Ham (About 4 medium slices)
- 1½ cups Cheddar Cheese Grated
Preheat Oven to 200°C and prepare the muffin tray.
Start by sifting the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, paprika.
Rub in the butter using your fingertips. Set that aside.
Whisk together in a separate bowl the milk, egg and lemon juice.
Next, add the wet ingredient mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Be sure not to over mix.
Finish by stirring in the ham, grated cheese and freshly chopped parsley until incorporated.
Bake in oven for about 15 minutes, or until muffins are cooked.
